OthelloOthello
Othello is the story of a Moorish general who falls in love with the daughter of a Venetian senator. They marry in secret, but as soon as the secret is out their love is poisoned by jealousy. One of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies is presented by the Rogues in an edgy modern setting with fast-paced action and exciting fight choreography that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last shot is fired.

In working on Othello,, we found that it is a story of great love and hate. One of the tools that Shakespeare uses to highest effect is antithesis (the proximate comparison of opposites to sharpen an idea or to make a point). Nowhere is this tool more effectively manipulated than in Othello. So yes, on first view it is a tale of black and white. But more importantly it is a poignant comparison of sweeping love and poisoning hate, of young and old, male and female, civilized and barbaric, elegant and coarse, right and wrong. It is an intricate study in appearance versus reality, of truth versus lies. Join us on this roller-coaster ride.
